The Varmint Precision was developed as a trainer to a full-sized centerfire rifle but for more economical shooting. It features a Manners carbon fiber composite stock for a solid platform, heavy cold hammer forged 16.5″ barrel and threaded 1/2×28 muzzle that accepts a wide variety of suppressors or muzzle devices. The Manners stock was based off the PRS1 and uses multiple layers of carbon fiber and fiberglass hand-load in epoxy resins, then vacuum and heat cured. A shorter barrel allows for plenty of time for a full burn of the cartridge while offering rigidity.
The new 457 series now feature a push safety, adjustable trigger and 60 degree bolt rotation, allowing for larger ocular bell diameters with lower rings. The stamped bottom metal is now replaced with a classy 2-piece interlocking system. Additionally the 457 series utilizes the same swappable barrel system and magazines from the 455.
